Many of us invest in different marketing systems thinking they’re the next big thing since sliced bread. But a lot of us have this mentality that it’s all going to magically bring us a lot of leads and success which usually isn’t the case. So the questions is why you’re not getting any leads and what do you have to do in order generate them?
Have you invested in a lot of marketing systems in order to get leads and sales? How were your results when you invested in them? Were they good or bad?
How did I come up with this topic? I was just looking at my team’s stats and a lot of them weren’t getting any good results. Not to put anyone on blast, especially myself since it is my team.
But if you’re getting value from me or anyone else, then there’s something you’re not doing in order to get the results you want. I do have to admit, when I first got into online marketing, I was guilty of not really going into action. It took me a while to get really get it in my head.
But once I did, I started getting leads on demand.
I went through a lot of trial and error, which probably you’re going through as well. But in the end the reward is Nice!
But the focus of this blog post is why you’re not generating very small amount of leads of any. I’m going to give you some reasons why I wasn’t and hopefully you can relate….

- I was posting links everywhere
- I didn’t sign up for any webinars to show me how to use the system
- I put people in my email autoresponder without them know (bad Sherman)
- I didn’t know how to use my autoresponder and how to connect it to the marketing system
- I didn’t ask for help
- When I first got it, I thought the system was going to run itself
- I didn’t want to build any type of relationship with people on social media
- Too lazy to read or watch any tips and strategies on how to generate leads
- I was marketing to everyone and not a specific interested target market
- I gave the system a trial period without me trying to put in time to learn how to use it
- I was too cheap and skeptical to invest in paid marketing strategies
- I was more interested in free systems, which I got leads, but made no money
I hope you got the point! Not to point fingers, but from talking to different prospects over the phone, a lot of these reasons why I wasn’t getting any leads were the same reasons why they weren’t.
Now you may want a straight answer. How do you get leads everyday? And to be honest with you, that really depends on how you want to go about to achieve it?
Why? Because there are many different strategies for you to choose from and they all pretty much work. When you know what to look for and put it to work for you, you can’t just not generate leads. It’s a given.
Now if you look at the list above, is it really a lack of skill set? Or is it not having the mindset and drive to learn all you can and take action?
It’s a little of both. Yes you don’t have the skill set, but if you don’t push yourself to do what you have to do to learn the skill set and apply it, then you’re just a sitting duck in the industry.
The one mistake I did with my team mates was that I didn’t reach out to personally call or email them to let them know that I’m available to help them (again bad Sherman).
The good thing I did was that I was sending them valuable information on personal development and growing their home business.
But here’s the thing you really have to remember if you want to succeed….
Your upline or sponsor isn’t really fully responsible for your success. You Are! You can’t keep pointing the finger at them when there are 3 fingers pointing back at you.
I thought about talking about the different marketing strategies you can use and I use in order to generate leads, but the real question is are you going to take action to really learn them, and even go through the trials and errors to perfect your skill set?
This is what I pushed myself to do, because I didn’t like not getting any results and I’m sure you don’t either. Once I did, I started getting results, my self-motivation went up, and I developed a passion for marketing. All you have to do is the same and this will happen for you!
