If you’re approaching prospects, what do you actually sell them? Do you sell the product, the company, how much money they can make, the trainings, the dream, or do you just give them a video to watch to let it sell itself? Let’s see what would be the best thing to sell to each prospect you approach….
If you want to be successful in network marketing, one of the things you want to make a habit of is learning how to sell the sizzle instead of the steak. What do I mean by this?
Well let me give you the reason why so many people in network marketing and affiliate marketing fail at selling….
It’s because so many people are so focused on selling the company, the products, and services instead of what they can get out of those things. Yes people are looking for the outcomes more so than the offer itself.
And yes, part of the process of sales is selling yourself to the customer first. The customer must buy you first before they do business with you, but after that, they want to know how they can benefit from your offer.
When it comes down to it, every customer is selfish. They want to know what’s in it for them once you gain their trust. If you cannot provide solutions or fulfill their needs then they’re going to cut the conversation short.
So what do you have to do in order to get the sale?
Sell Their Dreams And Lifestyle Back To Them
Now if you already know them, it would be easy to do so. You just remind them of what they’ve been talking about over and over again and see how serious they were to bring it to their reality.
Piece of cake, right?
But what about strangers?
You don’t know them from Adam and it would be a little more difficult to sell them.
This is why it’s pertinent to become the master of asking good questions. You want to be genuinely interested in them and get them to talk about themselves.
Now I’m not talking about giving them an interview, but approach them like you would approach someone at a social gathering. You want to start a casual conversation with them and then go from there.
You want to flow into what they really want out of life. Find out what they’re dreams are, what type of lifestyle they like to have, and what’s holding them back from obtaining them. 9 times out of 10, they rarely have conversations like this where people are actually interested in them.
On this level, you just want people to like you. So at the end of the conversation for each person you meet you want to exchange information and contact them within a couple of days.
When you contact them, the first thing you want to do is tell them who you are. This is almost like a courtesy so that they won’t have to guess or “act” like they know who you are. Once you get that established you want to remind them of the conversation you had.
You bring up the dreams they have and the lifestyle they want to live. This shows that you were really paying attention to them and this goes quite well with them.
Once you get this connection establish you want to know how serious they are. If they are, that’s when you go into the pitch “If I can show you a way to where you can obtain this lifestyle and live your dreams, would you be interested?”
If they say yes, that’s when you give them some information on your offer. Simply put, your offer is going to be the connection or the bridge that’s going to take them from their current lifestyle to the lifestyle that they want.
So again, what do you really sell? You sell the dreams and the lifestyle that they want.
