Many of you either nothing getting any comments on your blog or not getting the number of comments you want. There some reasons behind this and I’m going share with you what you can do to improve the numbers. Let’s look at five things you can do…..
“Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. The friends who listen to us are the ones we move toward. When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand.” Karl A. Menninger
When it comes to having a home business blog, or any type of blog, most of us want people to read it, share it, and comment. In order for this to happen, we must draw traffic.
Not just any traffic, but the type of traffic that’s geared to those that would definitely be interested in what we write.
Many of us have done our research when it comes to people and other bloggers. We either found people through social media sites, search engines, or other websites who were similar to us and start building rapport.
This rapport build was either requesting them as a friend or commenting on their blog posts. Now let me ask you…
How many of you have found blogs with a plethora amount of comments?
You ever wonder how they get that number of comments?
Some of you have a good idea of what to do, but aren’t doing it. Other’s of you may not have a clue as to what to do in order to get that high number of comments. Well like to share some simplified tips on how you can get up to that level of comments…
Now that I have your attention, I want you to keep in mind that this is going to take some time and effort to build up your comments. You may try different software to get to that level, but from my experience it hasn’t really benefited. So here are my tips for getting more comments….
Connect With Other Bloggers
Like attracts like, right? You probably heard this a bazillion times, but it’s very relative to the goal of getting more comments. You see many bloggers, especially if you have a home business, will support you in your efforts.
When I first joined facebook, I joined these facebook groups called MLM Tribes which were a bunch of bloggers who came together to support each other. Yes, this was a way for you to get organic traffic and comments to your blog. There are still a lot of blogging groups on facebook as well as other social media sites that you can take advantage of.
Also there are websites like BlogEngage, Topsy, and Blokube you can use to promote your blog posts. There are plenty of bloggers on these sites that you can get to know and engage with. All you have to do is your due diligence of finding people who are interested in the same topics as you and go from there.
Promote Your Blog Posts
When it comes to commenting, I’m one who believe BLOG PROMOTION takes precedence over publishing a blog everyday. The more you promote your blog posts, the more people will see it. The more they see it, the more likely they become curious and want to read it. The more people that read it, the more likely they’ll comment. Just as simple as that…. Speaking of simple…
Make Commenting Simple And Easy To Do
There have been many times where I felt like I was on a mission just to leave a simple comment. Either I had to login, write in a CAPTCHA over and over again, or sometimes the CAPTCHA just wasn’t set up fully.
So what do I usually do when this happens? You got it! I just leave….. Why spend all that time trying to figure out how to comment, where I can go to someone else’s blog who made it easy for me to comment. Word of Advice: KEEP IT SIMPLE FOR YOUR READERS TO COMMENT.
How to keep it simple? Just have the fields for your readers to leave their name, email address, and website/blog site address, and a check box to make sure they’re human. That’s it! It takes a lot less time for your readers to leave their information like this than the other way.
Ask Your Readers To Leave A Comment
Although I got myself into the habit of leaving a comment on interesting blog posts, there’s a lot of us that haven’t developed that habit. Some people have opinions but aren’t sure if they can express them in the comment section. Let them know that its ok to do so whether they agree with what you wrote or not.
At the end of each of your post let them know where they can comment. I usually say “Now It’s Your Turn” to turn it over to my readers. But use whatever is comfortable for you to get your readers engaging.
Last But Not Least, Reply To Your Comments
This is a courtesy to the readers that commented on your blog post. Keep in my if they found your blog post important and interesting enough to comment on, then good that you show your appreciate and reply to them. This goes with the law of reciprocity. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. When this happens, more than likely they’ll come back. Repetitive commenters is a great thing to have!
Now It’s Your Turn!
How do you make commenting easy for your readers? Do you comment on your readers blogs as well? How do you engage with other bloggers? Please share your comments below and share this post with your friends. I look forward to reading them!
