Many people believe that building some rapport with people, especially on social media, is a waste of time and we should focus on just marketing value and attract leads.
While others believe that we should be connecting with like-minded people and build relationships with them. One we should focus on building relationships with quality people who are serious about growing their businesses and also see the benefits of build a strong connection with others.
But when it comes to promoting your blog, I believe the latter would be more beneficial than just promoting your blog on your own. This is speaking from experience…
Just imagine, doing all the work by yourself. Not that there is nothing wrong with it, but you will have to put in a lot of time to do everything yourself. This can definitely become tedious even though promoting your blog would be worth it.
But the fact that your build a strong rapport with serious, focused, like-minded people, and they actually help you promote your blog says a lot.
Because it shows how much social proof you have….

Comment On Other People’s Blog
I’ve mentioned this on other blog posts how important comment on other people’s blog posts can be. This shows how much you appreciate the value of the posts and that you read the post. If you do this quite often, the author will check out your blog and more than likely comment and share your post.
Share Other People’s Blog Post
Many of you have an account with some social media site, being facebook, linkedin, Pinterest, and Twitter being the most popular ones. When an author see that you’re sharing their content, more than likely the favor will be returned to you.
Put The Author On Spotlight On One Of Your Blog Posts
This is one great way to show how much you appreciate the content of the authors you really appreciate. This gives them a good feel and show that what they do is not for nothing. Someone is actually finding their content valuable for their own home business. This will definitely give you some brownie points.
Comment On Their Posts Or Tweets
If you’re following them or befriended them on a site like facebook, one good way to strengthen your connection and really be noticed is by replying to comments and tweets. Some people will start a conversation by asking a question or making a statement, and replying can go a long way. Not only will they notice you but other people that are replying with notice you too.
Focus On Blogging Groups And Websites
Another way to get your content shared is posting on groups and websites. If everyone is doing the same thing and going for the same goal, why not get on the bandwagon? It also helps that you interact with the people within these groups and website so they can take more notice of you. This is a great way to start building an inner circle for yourself of people who leverage each other in order to achieve their goals.
