Do you believe that we’re all walking human magnets? Well in a sense we are, but yet most of us really don’t have a clue of how to conjure the “magnet” within ourselves to attract the right people. So lets see what we have to do in order to be “attracting”…
How often have you prepared yourself for prospects and as a result you didn’t recruit them? I mean you actually looked professional, had the notepad to take notes, you asked the right questions, but yet, to no avail, you just don’t bring anyone into the business?
That has happened to many of us, and many times to me. But have you ever notice that regular Joe Schmoe can sponsor like crazy. I’ve been to conventions and I’ve seen people who do not look as professional as you would believe, but yet they can sponsor people like crazy.
I mean they get on stage, tell their story, and the speaker ask them what they did, and their reply is, “I just kept it simple and showed them the plan.” Now this baffles you. You’re doing the same thing, but yet you’re not having any success. WTF????
I know you’re thinking, “how in the world can this simpleton recruit like that, but yet I have a hard time getting my own mother to look at the plan?” Well here’s the thing: There’s a difference between looking attractive and being “attracting”. And of course it all starts with you….
Build Your Internal Belief System
Now first off, do you have the belief that you can actually become successful? Be honest with yourself? Is it all just a fantasy or do you actually feel within yourself that success can happen to you?
A lot of us get involved in the home business with a lack of belief. We still have our limited beliefs that we struggle with. We want to believe that we can be successful, but yet at the same time we want to be “real” with ourselves. We eventually tell ourselves “It only happens in the movies”, but yet some of us keep going just in case it happens.
With this lack of belief you’re not going to make a strong, stable decision to go all in. Now let me ask you, what did it take for you to learn how to ride a bicycle? Learn an instrument? Learn to drive a car? Learn how to read and write? Learn how to do anything? You had to build your belief system and you just eventually went all in, right?
If you were interested in something, you built your belief in your capabilities, decided to go all in to build up your skills, kept at it until you achieve what you may have thought was impossible. And i know once you achieved it, it felt great. You had this relief inside of you and it became second nature right?
When people feel that internal belief you have, it intrigues them and they become curious. They want to know what mission you’re on and how they can be a part of it.
Difference between Outside Education Versus Your Internal Belief
This is something I found out the hard way after I graduated from college and received some certifications. Although I had the credentials for the jobs I applied for, they weren’t interested in hiring me.
Why? The belief and confidence just wasn’t there. So this, at the get go, was just not attracting them period. If you have no confidence at all, then people are going to feel that you’re inadequate. Why would they even want to do business with you? It doesn’t matter how great your product/services or company is for that matter. If you’re belief ain’t strong, then quite frankly the opportunity must be wrong.
I know many of us really serious ones have studied NLP, 4 different personality types, Tapping but yet to no avial was it helping us. How many of you took a foreign language in high school? Now many of us have gotten all “A’s” in our classes, but yet when we go to the country where that language is spoken we couldn’t have a simple conversation. Makes you wonder how children can pick up a foreign language so fast but yet in adulthood we struggle. Well children are more open minded and still have a strong, spiritual belief factor versus adults who have to go by the book and have this fear of not getting it “right”.
Now I’m not saying that you shouldn’t be book smart, because it helps in the long run only if you internalize what you learn and apply it. You always want to become better each day. But be more focus on your belief and the actions you take to uphold that belief.
A lot of us have a tendency to give other people power. Why? Because that internal belief system isn’t strong. We care too much of the opinions of critics and seek approval from others. With some people, whenever they feel this coming from you, then they can definitely make you dance around them.
So what can you do? Focus on your belief that you’re going to achieve your goals no matter what. With or without them. You’re on a mission that you have to complete.
When they can “feel” this coming from you, and you don’t care if they join or buy from you, then this conjures up their curiosity. They don’t want to miss out on the action. They want to be able to at least get a glimpse of it. And for those critics, who cares about their opinions because you know that you’re going to achieve your goal and have a great time on that journey.
Now It’s Your Turn!
