When it comes to blogging, you want to share information and receive some feedback from interested readers. Now theres two questions: how do you get the traffic and the audience to respond to your blog and how often should you blog? Let’s see what you really have to do in order to accomplish this……
When it comes to online marketing, what better way to brand yourself than blogging. In the past 3 or 4 posts, I have been concentrating on the benefits of blogging and how it can help you with your marketing and build your home business.
There’s a lot of people that find it real tedious today, but there are other methods for them to use to build their business like doing videos. Either way it goes, you want to put something on the forefront of your marketing campaign involved giving value that solve a lot of problems.
Now when it comes to blogging, you want to have a purpose. A purpose that’s going to attract a specific market of people of the same like mind. You may have the solutions to their nagging problems or it could be the other way around.
Either way it goes, you want to engage each other on the topic that most concern all of you. In this manner, you start to gain social proof and build a great reputation that’s going to attract people in your niche and those looking to get involved.
Which brings us to the first question. How do you find these people to build traffic and an audience?
Generating Traffic To Your Blog And Building An Audience
One of the first things I learn when it comes to building traffic and an audience is backlinking. This is where you go to someone’s blog post, and leave your name, email, website/blog site, and a comment. When you leave your website/blog site, it points it back to your blog, aka backlinking.
But here’s the thing to remember. You want to have in mind that you want to build an audience and what to target specific blogs that’s in your niche. Meaning, blogs that talk about the same topics as you. Once you find those blogs, you want to leave valuable comments pertaining to the topic. Other people who are serious actually notice your comments and actually go to your blog.
Another way to get traffic and an audience is post your blogs in social media groups related to your niche. You can engage with the people in their, and also leverage them to share your content with their list of friends who are more than likely in the same niche. The more you post in these groups and engage with the members, the more traffic and the bigger the audience you’ll have.
Now there have been many people that say you should blog everyday so you can start getting traffic and build a big audience, and I use to believe it.
Now, I don’t think it’s important how often you blog.
I now believe it’s how consistent you blog and how much you promote your blog. I’m talking from experience and from reading another blog a while back.
From my experience, I was getting more traffic and had a bigger audience when I was posting my blog posts 2 – 3 times a week than I was posting every other day, despite all of the changes search engines like Google was making to their algorithms.
As a matter of fact, I would sometimes miss a week or two of blogging and post some of my old content and still was getting a lot of traffic and readers. So what was I doing?
I was just going into different groups on facebook and linkedin that related to my niche and engaged with other members and bloggers. I promoted my blog in these groups and stayed consistent. As I learn something new I blog about it, and also I would talk about a topic I did previous but wrote from a different angle.
So it really doesn’t matter if you blog everyday, every other day, 3 days a week, once a week, or even once a month, as long as you’re consistent, promote like crazy, and engage, you will different see the results you want.
Now It’s Your Turn!
Do you agree or disagree with my opinion? Do you find that you get more results by blogging everyday or more through promotion? Please share your comments below and share this post with your friends. I look forward to reading them!
