How effective is having a great reputation among your target market? It can definitely matter between having a great following and not having one at all. Let’s see the importance of having a great personal brand so you can attract a big audience.

When I think of branding, I think of selling yourself on a job interview. You hand them your resume, the interviewers peruse it, looking for keywords, and on the actual interview you dress to impress answering all of their questions concerning the position and company concerns.
They look at your personality and see what you’re main focus is. Is it the pay with the position or the value you can bring to the company?
If you’re more concern with the pay, then what are your chances of getting the job? Zero to none. Now if you’re more focus on the value you can give and convey that to the interviewers, then you have a better chance.
If you ever get the job and stay there long enough to build a really great reputation, chances are other businesses are going to be hunting you down. It’s a great feeling to be in demand like this, huh?
But this post isn’t about getting job obviously, it’s about how branding yourself is more important than the businesses you’re affiliated with.
So why is the person you are more important?
Your Prospects Are The Interviewers
When it comes to prospecting or generating leads online, you’re basically in an interview. You want to really make a good first impression on your Target Market.
Just like in an interview, if you’re more concern with the money more so than the people you can bring value to, then more than likely their not going to follow you at all. Why would you follow or join someone if their only concern is making money off of you?
But delivering a lot of value and more concern on the success of other people, you’ll find that you will attract more people that way. Which reminds me of an Albert Einstein quote:
Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value
What can you do to bring value to people?
If you really want to draw the attention of your target market and build your businesses, you have to brand yourself well or else your business is going to be stagnant. This is how vital branding yourself is. You should be able to go to any business and still have a following.
Many leaders jump from one business to the other and yet they can make a killing within a really short amount of time. You ever wonder how they do this? The foundation of home businesses is how well you brand yourself.
You want to give reasons why people want to follow and buy from you. Like and Trust is the key to building a good following. So how do you do this.. check out these three tips
- Build Rapport by being genuinely interested in people more so than yourself
- Talk about their problems and what’s keeping them from getting ahead
- Talk about how they feel about being stagnant
- Provide solutions so they can move forward
Simple, but not easy. Why do I say that. Well for a lot of beginners we like to get into “convincing” mode which is definitely not selling. If you want to be a good online marketer/salesperson, then follow these 4 steps. Plain and simple. Once done, you’ll be branding yourself well, creating a good reputation and name for yourself.
