With so much information out there on the internet you really have to come unique and genuine. The question is what are you doing to fine tune the information that’s going to matter to your readers? Let’s get into the mind of your readers…
Whether you’re posting a blog post, video post, a comment or whatever the case may be, you want to readers to get a “Aha” moment or a confirmation of something they weren’t sure about.
In the case of blogging, There so many blogs out there but a lot of them have a lack of quality. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I have the best blog in the world, but I do know that my focus is more on quality than anything. I’m always looking to improve.
But when I say quality, what do I mean?
You want posts to really resonate with your readers. You want them to say things like:
“ah! So that’s the difference!” or
“I never really looked at it that way” or
“I always wanted to know about this strategy”. or
“Ok, I like this method. It’s an easier way of doing it”
When you lack quality, your readers are saying:
“What else is new?”
“This is just a repeat from the last couple of posts I’ve seen.”
“This confused me even more, so i’ll just ignore it.”
“So now what do I do?”
If you want your readers to keep coming back to your blog you don’t want to leave them in a bored, confused, stagnant state of mind. You want to be able to give them hope, energy, and a confidence that will help them become successful.
If you really want to make any of your posts matter to your readers, put yourself in their shoes before, during, and after you publish your posts. There are so many topics that your readers can benefit and the best thing you can do is streamline it for them. Here are a couple of questions you can ask yourself:
Why Your Reader Need To Know This Info.?
When your readers first read the title of any of your posts or the first sentence of anything you post on social sites like facebook, you want to give them a good reason why they should check it out.
Subjects like “Make 10,000 dollars a month with 30 days” is interesting but everyone has a post like this. You want to make it stick out to something like “5 steps to make 10K a month”, or “What’s keeping you from makking 10K a month?”
What Haven’t You Taught Your Readers?
To keep your readers intrigued, you want to figure out something new that you haven’t written about yet. If you’re someone that blogs a lot, this can matter a lot. At times we can repeat ourselves and I know I do this sometimes. This would be the opportunity to learn something new and share it with you readers.
Another option is to bring in a guest to post on your blog. You may not know anything about certain subjects, but yet you know some people that do and have a lot of experience with the subjects. This would not only expose your readers to other avenues to take but also would be a great way to leverage.
Are Your Readers Confused About A Topic?
There are some videos, blogs and articles that go way above and beyond our heads. Sometimes they use a jargon that the majority of us don’t understand, or it’s just too much information for us to swallow.
So why not simplify these subjects for your readers to understand. If you have to use certain words then explain them to your readers. I put it to you like this, if you can’t explain certain topics to a 4th grader, then more than likely you don’t understand it yourself.
What Fat Can You Cut Down?
This goes long with the previous tip. Some posts can ramble on and on about information that’s not really needed. So lets cut down the fat and get to the core of what would really help your readers.
What Weren’t You Sure About Yourself?
This would be a great way to do your research, write about it, and get some feedback from your readers. Make your readers feel important by getting their opinion of a subject that you yourself was confused about. This is a great way to not only make your posts matter to your readers but to make your readers matter to you.
