When you don’t have a lot of time to focus on your blog and home business then the use of online marketing automated tools comes handy. Most people who start a home business usually have limited time to focus on it. They have full time jobs, families and other responsibilities that can use up a lot of time each day. In this post I will share with you some online marketing automated tools that you can leverage while you take care of your responsibilities.
“Attempting to succeed without embracing the tools immediately available for your success is no less absurd than trying to row a boat by drawing only your hands through the water or trying to unscrew a screw using nothing more than your fingernail.” ~ Richie Norton
Don’t you wish sometimes we had more than 24 hours in a day? We would get a lot more done, and get a lot more rest indeed!
But, we don’t and we have to make the best out of it. Especially with blogging and our home businesses. Yes, just these two can be very time consuming, and many of us tend to fall behind the work that needs to be done.
We have our jobs, our families, and sometimes we work so hard we become in need of a vacation. It’s as if we’re on the go 24 hours, 7 days a week.
I know for me, when I come home from a mentally hard day’s work, I don’t want to do anything at all! You ever feel like this! I just want to get a quick bite to eat and go straight to bed. But as you know, I want to squeeze in some time to work on my business, whether it be blogging, commenting, segmenting my email, or socializing on social media.
Yes, I admit it! I cheat time with a couple of online marketing automated tools.
It does make growing your business a bit easier. While you’re taking care of your personal business, you can leverage these tools to take care of your home business.
Just to let you know, I mention 9 tools here, but I only use three of these tools which are Buffer, Facebook Post Boot Option and Revive Old Post. I did my research on these tools since I was looking for ways automate my blog and business more and these tools caught my interest.
Some of these tools are free and can upgrade to a professional version to get more features. While others you’ll have to pay for to use them. So without further adieu, here are 9 tools that can help you cheat time for your home business growth:
IFTTT reminds me of how to organize your email. Within your email you can create folders for different emails you get constantly. Instead of it going straight into your inbox, you can set it up to go into the folders you create.
So for example, if you created 4 folders, one for facebook, one for Google+, one for LinkedIn, and one for Twitter, you can automatically have emails you receive to go directly to their perspective folders.
IFTTT works in a similar way. You can automate different tasks via social media sites plus more by telling what specific tasks you want to execute.
So for example, maybe you want to send an automatic thank you message for all the friend request you accept in Facebook. You can set up what is called a recipe in IFTTT for the thank you message to go out to that person each time you accept their friend request.
Ok this is a plugin I have been using for the past 2 years.
With this plugin, you can set up your old post to be tweeted automatically. I have it set up to tweet my old post every 3 hours, up to 120 days back.
There is a free version and a paid version. And of course, you’re going to get more options with the paid versions.
SocialOomph is similar to Revive Old Post but you can do a lot more with it.
There is a Free version and a Professional version of this service. Just with the Free service you can schedule tweets, track keywords, save and reuse drafts, shorten URLs, Purge your tweets, and use up to 5 twitter accounts.
If that’s just the free version, can you imagine what you’ll get with the professional version? Well I’m not going to go into it, but you can definitely find out for yourself and make your own decision of what will be more convenient for you.
Buffer is similar to SocialOomph, but you can also share your posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google+ Page.
It has a free version and Professional version. If you use the free version, one thing I do recommend is that you share the most popular blog post you have. You can find this out by looking at your comments or shares. But if you really want to be informed, you want to look into your Google Analytics account.
This service helps you with sending messages automatically based on your customers activity. The messages can be sent not only through email but also via text messaging.
You can schedule, for example, reminders to your customers who have signed up for a free trial, letting them know that their trial is about to run out and to purchase the paid version of the product or service.
Ok Let’s say you have all of these fans, and you’ve been checking your Google Analytics on what groups of people are consistently coming to your blog.
You notice a pattern from your comments and analytics. You want to expand your reach to those in your niche to read your blog posts. From your google analyticts you see there’s a specific age group of people that are always coming to your blog. So why not expand on this group?
This is where Facebook Post Boost Option comes into play. Whenever you paste a link to your blog post, you get the option button on the lower right to “Boost Post” for a much farther reach. I have used this a few times and I have gained some traffic and a handful of sales on blog posts where I promote a service.
Social Link Mart
Do you want more Facebook Likes, Google Pluses, etc…?
Well let me rephrase this, do you want more legit Facebook Likes, Google Pluses, etc…?
With Social Link Mart, you can achieve this. I look at this service as a hybrid of Solo Ads and the Facebook Post Boost Option. This tools allows you to get a plethora of traffic by having others expose your posts to their profiles and followers.
Can you imagine the reach within your niche by doing this? Well with Social Link Mart this is very much possible.
I have used this service in the past and it’s definitely a great software if you want to focus on a specific niche market.
This service is very similar to SocialOomph in that you can schedule tweets. You can also follow people within a specific niche, automatically unfollow people who don’t reply, automate RSS Feed, Automate Re-Tweets, Automate a thank you message, create a black list of people to not follow, plus more…
This service use to be a one time payment, but now it’s a monthly fee. Click on the link to the site for more information about TweetAdder.
When it comes to doing any type of marketing to grow a business, what’s the one thing that most successful bloggers and entrepreneurs say?
If you said connect and cultivate relationships, then you’re on the right track.
But have you ever connected with someone, then all of a sudden you lose touch? Well this is where this service comes into play.
This software will help you manage those relationships on social media, and actually identify the relationships that have dissipated all of a sudden so that you can keep the connection alive.
The Reality Behind Online Marketing Automated Tools
You noticed on the last tool the one key ingredient to it and online marketing is relationships building. The reality and foundation of all of these tools is that you must maintain your relationships with your friends and followers still.
I’m guilty of just letting tools run on their own without maintaining the relationships that I made with other bloggers and entrepreneurs. And of course it really didn’t get me anywhere.
The one thing you have to remember is that you still want people to know, like and trust you and this is definitely through connecting with others and maintaining the relationship.
The most proficient ways I’ve been doing this is going to social media sites I’m on regularly and leaving comments, sending thank you’s, and of course seeing how everyone is doing.
With that said, it comes full circle. You’ll have the support of others, and also really see your content going further beyond your circle of friends!
Now It’s Your Turn!
