When your blog start getting a decent amount of traffic, then these 5 tools about to be mention in this blog will come into great use! So without further adieu, let’s go further into detail…
“Needle in a haystack’s easy – just bring a magnet.” ~ Keith R.A. DeCandido
Many of us caught the case of the “shiny object syndrome” whenever a new online marketing tool comes out at least one time in our life. They make so many promises, but yet when we purchase these tools we experience something totally different for most of us.
I have purchase quite a few tools and have experienced this myself. But one thing you don’t want to steer your attention away from are the basic tools you need to really be successful in Online Marketing.
Now many of your minds are going in twenty different directions with all the internet noise and tools you plan on using.
You start learning about a tool and you’re consistent for a week. But after about a week, you begin to put it off. You tell yourself, “I’ll come back later to it”. You say it enough to the point of forgetting about those tools and they start to collect dust.
How many times have you done this?
Did you actually go back to the tools to learn more about them?
It’s hard to stay focus on just one tool when 20 more are coming at you every other day right? Then you ask yourself “Which one’s should I focus on before I go to the next?”
Yes, it becomes one of those overwhelming moments.
At the same time your home business isn’t going anywhere. It’s almost as if you put yourself between a rock and a hard place!
But from my experience there are a few things you want to focus on first:
- Branding Yourself
- Generating Subscribers/Leads
- Email Campaign
- Product/Service Reviews
These are the 4 basics things to build a strong foundation in an Online Marketing Campaign. But if you’re using a blog to drive your target market, what basic tools do you need in order to start getting the results that you want?
Well lets do a review of why Online Marketing Tools compliments your blog.
Why Online Marketing Tools Compliments Your Blog
If you’re in network marketing or affiliate marketing, you’re always on the lookout for the perfect prospects and leads right? You want to be able to “Qualify” each person you run into online to see if what you have may be the right fit for them.
But here’s the type of prospects a lot of us gets! Tire Kickers
You know the type of person that will waste your time although they want to make money online. They just sound so self contradictory!
Or what’s worse is when they get involved with your business opportunity or purchase the products/services you promote, but yet they really don’t put in the time to put them to use.
So what do you do?
You put in more time to find more people. This can get old and tedious after a while.
But there’s always smarter and more convenient ways to do things!
One strategy you can implement is the use of Blogs. A blog can relieve a lot of the time you put in to find people in general that would be interested in what you promote. And one of the best uses of a blog is to set yourself apart by Branding Yourself
I would say the act of Branding Yourself would be the start of that yellow brick road of trust. Once people start trusting you, then they will consider doing business with you. This will definitely lead to sales and/or building your network marketing team.
Now how can you get to the point of building your audience?
Where can you find people that can be loyal to you and your efforts?
Like the old cliche saying goes, Like attracts like, right? So why not look for people who are doing the same things that you’re doing with similar goals in mind. They will be more open to what you have to say, may purchase or join your efforts, or share your content with their targeted audience!
You can find these people in many places like social media, forums, other blogs within your niche, etc… But I believe a great start would be blogging communities like Kingged.com
When you’re all set up with your blog, and you’re getting the targeted traffic you’ve always wanted, this would be a great indicator of using Online Marketing Tools.
The Blog will be the starting point of your online efforts. Within your blog, you can incorporate the online marketing tools for your most interested audience to give more information about you and what you promote.
Once you start to get a decent following which would include comments and number of shares, the Online Marketing Tools will become more useful. In my case, once I started getting 10 quality comments and at least 50 shares, I started to get more subscribers.
So despite the plethora of tools that are out there, here are 5 Online Marketing Tools that should be included in your online marketing campaigns via your blog!
– Social Share Buttons
– Optin Box
– Capture Page
– Sales Page
– Email Autoresponder
Once these tools are put into good use, then chasing people online won’t be necessary. You’ll just have to put your blog in the right places such as kingged.com or blogging groups geared towards affiliate and network marketing on social media to attract the results to you.
Ok, you have a blog, you’re getting some traffic, and you’re still not going anywhere with your blog or home business. Well here’s the thing….you must create a Marketing/Sales Funnel
What is it exactly?
Here’s my own definitely: It is a set up steps a potential customer or client goes through in order to make a decision to buy products/services or invest in an opportunity. As they are going through each step, you are tracking their behavior on how they react on each step on whether you should revamp the funnel to improve the buying process for them or not.
In this case the steps would include in this order:
- The Blog
- Optin Box/Capture Page
- Sales Page
- Email Messages from Autoresponder
Now let’s get in into each tool you can leverage in order for you to reap the rewards!
Social Share Buttons
Ok, you’re getting a decent amount of traffic. You are engaging the people that come to your blog posts that leave a comment. You have built your inner circle of loyal commenters and readers, but yet you feel stagnant.
What else can you do?
Why not go beyond your circle of trust. Since your loyal readers and commenters already develop a respect for you, why not have them share your content on social media sites like Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, and Pinterest with their social media friends?
This is where placing social share buttons on your blog can help you work smarter, work lesser, and gain more traffic. In marketing you want to get the most exposures possible, especially from your target market. This is where you get the most out of marketing.
Some popular social share buttons are Flare, Easy Social Share Buttons, Shareaholic, Social Share and Locker Pro, and Monarch
Optin Box/Capture Pages
One of the thing that’s going to drive your business is having a nice targeted list of subscribers and customers. You know what they say that the money is in list. But how are you going to grow that list?
This is where having an Optin Box on your blog comes into play. This is where your visitors can subscribe to your blog like you would subscribe to a magazine, by having your visitors put in their name, email, or even a telephone number for you to contact them.
You can also set up a whole page called a Capture Page to get your visitors information or “capture” their contact information. I have actually use Capture Pages with Facebook Ads and had a lot of success with them.
Some great plugins you can install are Hybrid Connect, OptinMonster, Magic Action Box, or LeadPages.
ok, you’re getting about 2,000 visitors a month to your blog, and maybe about 10% of them opted into one of your blog post that talks about a product, service, or business opportunity.
This is where the sales page becomes of good use. If you’re a great salesperson you can create one for yourself. But in my case, I’m pretty horrible at it LOL.. I use a program called MLSP which has quite a few sales pages on it just in case you don’t have that persuasive type of personality.
When I use to be in network marketing, I was mainly doing offline marketing. I was taught that it takes an average of at least 7 exposures before a prospect decides they want to do business with you or buy your products and services.
Then I brought my business online, and I found out it was the same! Luckily the internet has made it more convenient for us to market.
The Email Autoresponder allows you to write prewritten email messages to be sent out to your prospects to tell them the benefits of what you promote. I usually have it set to about 2 or 3 days apart for each email to be sent out. I don’t like bombarding people! That’s a real turn off for me!
Besides that, I also use the Email Autoresponder to build better rapport with my subscribers as well as share my latest blog posts. Through your Email Autoresponder, you gain trust, respect, and some sales conversions.
Some of the popular Email Autoresponders are MailChimp, Ininbox, Aweber, GetResponse, and iContact.
In Conclusion With Online Marketing Tools
I would say incorporating online marketing tools that works with your blog would be the third phase of marketing online after you figure out who’s your target market and brand yourself. It’s almost like figuring out that you have a pattern and now you want to benefit from it.
As I briefly mentioned before, these are the types of tools you want to focus on as far as blogging and generating leads first off before you investigate any other tools. You want to develop a pattern of generating traffic, leads, and eventually some sales before looking at other strategies and tools to make more improvements.
Now It’s Your Turns
If you’re veteran bloggers then more than likely you are reaping the rewards via these basic online marketing tools. Are there any tools you would add or are thre any tools I mentioned you would take out of the list? Which tools would you recommend for newbie bloggers?
If you’re new to blogging, are you implementing any of these tools? Are you already getting the targeted traffic you want? Are you engaging your audience and are they responsive?
