Have you ever got yourself to do a task, then all of a suddent, something else takes your attention away? This happens to the best of us.
You may be thinking of doing that activity all day so that you don’t forget or get sidetrack, but yet for some of us that fails. We tend to turn our attention to something that’s not going to help us move forward.
You have this blazing idea about a blog post and you actually jot it down so that you don’t forget what title you want to use and the points you want to make.
Ok, now you get excited.
You get home, get in your bed, and you turn on your computer.
You check your mail.
And you find a really important email that was sent to you…”Kim Kardashian is cheating on Kanye West with Ex’s Ray J and Reggie Bush. Not sure who the baby belongs to???”
And now you figure you have to read this because it is important that you know this, right?

There is so much distraction on the internet these days that it ain’t even funny. It’s a wonder why we get ourselves stuck in a rut when it comes to growing their home businesses. Many of us wasting time on things that’s not going to help propel us.

Don’t Check Email and Social Media Accounts All Together
Yes I know, some of us have a weakness for keeping up with the latest news, but how’s that going to help you in the long run. If you’re really serious about building your home business, then the best thing to do is to go straight to doing income producing activities. Facebook isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Write On Paper In A Secluded Area
Get a notebook of some kind and find a really quiet spot to brainstorm and write your ideas down. Having a TV, radio, and even books can be a distraction when it comes to writing your blog. You want to have laser target focus on your ideas so they can flow much more easier than if you had these types of distractions.
Have A Trusted Good Friend Video Record You
I have a good friend who would record me. He helped me get over my fear of being on camera and most importantly helped me stay focused on what I wanted to talk about. One great way he did this was by asking questions on the subject to really get my juices going. That’s what friends are for!
Distractions are the epitome of procrastination. It definitely gives you the reason to feed the fear that you’re trying to get rid of. So focus on the task that you are aiming to do, even if you have to avoid the distractions that will hinder you. Do something now that your future self can be thankful for!
