Having good qualifying questions will allow you to pick the good prospects from the bad prospects. But one thing you want is to find out a strong why from your prospects because this will be their fuel when the going gets tough. Let’s find out what 5 questions you can ask your prospects before exposing them to your business.
We all heard that we need a strong “Why” in order to stay in the network marketing industry to succeed. Our why is our fuel when the going gets tough and will deflect any obstacle that comes in our way.
But here’s the thing…
We each need to discover our own why
We can not rely on someone else’s opinion to build our business because it’s not true to us. When we rely on someone else’s why, then we tend to not be serious about our business or even leave within a short time limit.
This is why it’s so important to find the why of your prospects.
If you want good retention within your network marketing home business, you want to make sure that your prospect knows their “Why”.
In my previous post What Is The Primary Motivating Factor Of Your Prospect To Do Network Marketing I talked about why it’s important not to tell your prospects why they should join network marketing. Instead you want to ask them so they can tell you why.
But it doesn’t stop there
You want to make sure they have a strong why and not something they repeated from somewhere else.
Knowing their primary motivating factor is great, but making sure how strong it is will really determine how well they’ll do in the business.
These are vital to prospecting. Learn them and add them to your prospecting strategies
- What is your number one priority?
- Why did you pick that one?
- Why is that important to you?
- What are the consequences of not having that opportunity(primary motive)?
- Why would that worry you?
If they’re able to answer all of these questions with strong certainty, then you have a serious prospects. These will be the type of prospects that you don’t have to chase after in order to go to meetings, conferences, training calls, etc… They are self-starters as well as open-minded to learn what it takes to be successful.
Other than that, you have leaners. These are people who are dependent upon you to make them successful. You have to chase them to go to trainings and meetings, and when something goes wrong, they’re always pointing their figures at someone or something instead of looking at themselves.
These 5 questions were taken from Allen Pease’s book “Questions Are The Answers” which is a great book I highly recommend. Especially for those who are just starting their network marketing business.
