Many of you are great leaders when it comes to the network marketing industry. You have great influence over many people, but are people joining under you for your reasons or for theirs? Let’s see why it’s best for your prospects to join your network marketing business opportunity for their reasons.
Having influence over people is a great characteristic to have, especially if you’re leading them in a direction that will benefit them in the long run. Being able to lead people takes a lot of good character, focus and perseverance.
If you’re growing a network marketing home business, being able to sponsor people and lead them is a great skill of it’s own. Sponsoring is an art form of its own. it means that you build great connections and relationships with people which in turn they build the trust to join you in your business opportunity.
Those that do a lot of sponsoring every month or every week and convey the most enticing message that can get the masses moving. This message triggers something inside each person that makes that network marketer as well as the business opportunity so attractive that the prospect can’t resist.
If you’re able to do this, you not only can do it for your network marketing business opportunity but for any opportunity you become involved with. This, in itself takes a lot of practice and a lot of mistakes for your average network marketer.
But the difference between a great network marketer and a beginner is how they connect with their prospects. There are those who tells their prospects how great the opportunity is and then there are the ones who ask certain questions to trigger something within the prospect.
The Beginner That Convinces Their Prospects To Join
I called this the professional beginner because they know the right words to convince their prospects to join the network marketing business opportunity.
They talk more about why they joined and why their prospects should join this great opportunity. If they don’t, then they wouldn’t be making a wise decision.
If their prospects are interested in other opportunities, then they tend to start bashing the other companies and why their compensation plan sucks.
This professional beginner talks a lot about the history, the founders, the leaders, the car bonus’, and whatever it takes to make their company seem like the perfect match even though it may not resonate with their prospects. Even if there is something that resonates with them, the professional beginner wouldn’t know because they don’t take the effort to get to know their prospects.
So finally after doing so much convincing, the prospects finally join. Their pretty excited for the first couple of days, but it starts to wear off fast. Now the professional beginner becomes more of a micro-manager because they’re putting more work convincing their new team member to go to meetings, webinars, conferences, and getting on the conference calls.
After a couple of months of being on the team, the new team member decides to quit. They hasn’t seen any progress for themselves, and they really didn’t like the company or their products in the first place. They blame the professional beginner for all of their failures and now is bashing the company for scamming them into the opportunity.
Network Marketers that ask really good, engaging questions will really connect with their prospects, building a lot of trust.
They ask certain questions to direct them to focus on their current situation, which the prospect doesn’t like, and towards a solution that will get them out of their situation.
These network marketers make sure that the prospect know that the whole team will guide them to success, but it’s the prospects responsibility to take the actions to become successful.
There’s no need to convince because with their questions, something is triggered in the prospects mind to convince themselves to join. And at the same time, these network marketers get across that they really don’t need each prospect and they can definitely decide whether they want to work with them or not.
These network marketers are attractive to prospects because of this method of prospecting. They not only sponsor a lot of people, but also have great retention in keeping their team members. Their goal is to guide each team member under them in the direction of becoming leaders which in turn will make them more attractive to their own prospects.
