We can get so much information in almost a blink of an eye through so many different ways rather it’s through your home computer or cell phone. It’s much easier to find out what the trends are so that we aren’t left behind.

But one thing that is a big problem is that when we jump on everything next “big thing” that comes our way. Constantly I see this in the network marketing and affiliate marketing industry.

These industries have been able to change the lives of everyday people. So far it has created the most people that reached financial freedom over any other industry to date.

You find more and more people making 6 and 7 figure incomes more so than you did some 30 years ago in the 1980’s. The internet has made it even more possible some 20 years ago and it’s still growing.

But with the internet creates a lot of noise. You see so many advertisements and people telling you about the next big thing and how many people per month are making 5 figures a month. It sounds so enticing that a lot of us will jump on the bandwagon.

But let me ask you, if you haven’t made money in your current company and looking to jump in a new company, do you think you’re going to do well in it?

In my opinion, it’s a possibility that you will, but it all depends on you…

This is not to discourage anyone, but there are some opportunities that will be a great fit for you and others that won’t.

First off, the opportunity, products or services really has to resonate well with you. Why would you jump into an opportunity that you’re really not interested in?

That’s like trying out for a Pro Basketball team when you’re not really interested in the sport. Just because you see some players making a lot of money doesn’t mean you’re going to. These players probably spent the majority of their lives playing basketball, learning fundamentals, and disciplining themselves to get into the pro’s. They really have a love for the game, hence, why their playing pro basketball.

Second, If you haven’t learned and applied the fundamentals of marketing and selling then how are you going to do well in any company?

You may not necessarily love the products or services, but you may love the idea of how they’re helping people or maybe you love the network marketing industry or affiliate marketing industry as a whole. Either way it goes, you like to market and share the good word about what you market and also the different strategies to share the information. And if you don’t, then as a result you’re not going to do well.

Lastly, you have to develop a strong belief in yourself if you want to do well.

This is definitely a core, foundational element when it comes to anything that you do. If the belief isn’t there, then you’re going to get easily discourage and quit. This is going to be your fuel that’s going to get you through the tough times. You have to wonder about the strength of beliefs of people like Colonel Sanders who got rejected over 1000 times trying to market his secret recipe for chicken and Thomas Edison who failed 10,000 times to create the light bulb.
